Spring/ Summer 2015 Hairstyle Trend 1: Center Hair Parting
Whether it’s about some stylish ‘do or loose hair, primary importance is given to the central hair parting, which made appearance at almost each and every show unveiled for the new season. Except for the cute side parted hair spotted at Tom Ford, Topshop Unique, Ralph Lauren, Jil Sander and a couple of more names, as well as some totally backcombed looks, we mostly witnessed classy and sleek center hair parting at the shows of Isabel Marant, Valentino, Chloe, Dries Van Noten, Dolce & Gabbana, Tanya Taylor, Emilio Pucci and others.
Spring/ Summer 2015 Hairstyle Trend 2: Side-Swept Hair
In line with the uber-trendy center hair parting, the 2015 trendy hairstyles also include side-swept hair looks, since after all the center hair parting isn’t a universally flattering option for every face shape and style. Sometimes being uber-sleek and classy and at times looking careless and cool, side-swept hair was the stylish say of such fashion shows as Tod’s, Max Mara, Philipp Plein, Badgley Mischka, Aquilano Rimondi, Chanel, Jason Wu, Fendi, Jenny Packham and others.
Spring/ Summer 2015 Hairstyle Trend 3: Naturally Textured Wavy and Curly Loose Hair
Casually loose hair is the simplest and the most impeccable way of making a statement in the new season. From the slightly tousled and careless voluminous tresses as we saw it at Badgley Mischka and Jenny Packham to the naturally wavy hair of Misha NooNoo and the romantic waves and curls of Roberto Cavalli, Emilio Pucci, Mary Katrantzou, Anna Sui, Diane von Furstenberg, Vera Wang and others, as well as the overly textured natural medium-length hair of Topshop Unique and slightly elongated bobs of Marc Jacobs and Tom Ford, beautiful curly and wavy loose hairstyles for spring 2015 are super varied.
Spring/ Summer 2015 Hairstyle Trend 4: Straight and Sleek Loose Hair
Being one of the most timeless hairstyle trends, straight and sleek hair is always there among the top hairstyles for each season, be it fall or spring. Straight hair is never far from mind, however, what makes it unique and fresh every time is the right choice of the new hair colors, as well as some small details that matter, including the trendy hair parting option or some small hair accessories. Sleek and straight hair was the thing at the spring shows of BCBG Max Azria, where we saw a center parted option, Victoria Beckham, where a preference was given to the side-swept straight hair, Versus Versace, where the classic straight hair was spiced up with lots of texture for the modern feel, Orla Kiely, where we especially loved the slight wet accents applied to the front part of the crown. Christian Dior, Rodarte and Ralph Lauren also kept it straight, sleek and loose.
Spring/ Summer 2015 Hairstyle Trend 5: Half-Up Half-Down Hairstyles
Being the intermediate variant between loose hair and stylish updos, half-up half-down hairstyles appeal to those looking for the easiest ways of concealing a bad hair day. These effortless and versatile hairstyles make a huge comeback for spring 2015, having made an appearance at the spring shows of Celine, where we fell in love with those minimalist metallic hair accessories, Just Cavalli, which demonstrated the functionality of bobby pins, Thakoon, which mixed this trend with that of straight hair and wet effects, Moschino, which showed us what a real Barbie’s hair is to look like, Miu Miu, where we adored that grungy feel of the feminine wet-look half-up hairstyles, Zac Posen, Valentino, Tibi and others. Especially interesting was the half-up hair version of Chrisopher Lemaire, at the show of which we saw a seventies inspired asymmetric wet-look ‘do.
